I hope it wasn't removed by anyone ................ I didn't feel it was slanderous at all. Why does it seem that you just can't have a good strong debate about certain subjects here ????????

You know if I say I am going to promote and sell my splashed hulls here on the board and it gets people into a heated debate ( which you do not like ... ) then kick me off the boards !!!!!!! Just seems a little wierd ............... Like you are taking a cut of any boat sold here by LPB , or Merc , or etc .... etc !!!;)

Just didn't seem nearly as bad as some of the crap you allow.

Jeff, if there's something you don't like about the way the board is moderated, why don't you take it up with Greg in a private message or E mail, rather than basically blasting him on the board? I didn't see the thread you're referring to, but there's always the possibility that whoever started it didn't like the way it progressed and removed it himself.

In any case, if you've got a complaint this ain't the way to handle it.

Greg didnot delete that thread I did ,I started it and I deleted it. Its so funny to me how people seem to think they know how things are but really have no idea. Its not worth all the bull**** to me to post any longer on this site under general discusion. I will post my boats for sale and hope only people that are interested in buying will inquire, and not people just wanting to bash LIGHTNING POWER BOATS, or me john Christensen. I build boats for a living and it puts food on my table,it has always been a love of mine. It would have been much more profitable to stay in the Building business ,but not near the fun I have had in the boat business. So to all you BASHERS , do your thing ,and to all that like my boats ,and have enjoyed them thanks for the business , it is greatly appreciated john

Whether you post in the General Boating Discussion, or post only in the for sale section, your posts will bring the bashers and the debate.

I think a good deal of this can be accredited to how your boats and other brands are advertised using a recognized brand name, (Skater, STV, Eliminator), of which the boat is based/splashed/modeled from. It strikes a nerve with some the owners of the original hull and others that have a strong opinion on the subject. Like they were already mad, but the line was crossed when the brand name was used.

Anyway, this discussion seems to make it's way to the board every so often, mostly in the winter when the northerners are cooped up away from the water. In the end, opinions go back and forth, someone's feelings get hurt, flames get thrown around, it gets personal, and nobody wins. Kind of like discussing politics or religion in The Lounge. No sense in it, because you are not going to change a person's opinion on the subject. Save your breath.

I thought that the post was fine.....I think that for as many people were bashing you had just as many people standing up for the issue......As with anything there will be debates in any subject...Some people like Mcdonalds and some people like Burger King......Some Like Coke Others like Pepsi.... Anyone can find a reason to stand on either side of the road. LPB I think based off of reading all the posts yesterday you seems to be good guy....

I also think you should have left the thread John. Yea there are a few LPB bashers, but you always seem to hold your own. I personally don't agree with splashing, but buying a mold outright form the orginal manufacture, I don't see anything wrong with that. You always state your opinion and keep coming back for more ;) and you are not afraid to call yourself the "king of splashers" so I respect your conviction. So keep posting your side and show us what your planns are. Leave the posts so everyone can see both sides and make there own opinon. :)

I have no problem with anyone not wanting to Buy one of my Boats,Lightning's are not for every body,I call my boat LIGHTNING STV river rocket ,or LIGHTNING HST,or LIGHTNING ACTION,mostly so people know what boat imtalking about ,know one has ever seen a post or advertisement from lightning calling a boat by just STV,HST or Action,they will All ways have LIGHTNING in front of what ever it is ! I deleted the post because I don't want to cause trouble on Greg's Site ,if it could stay calm and cool ,it would be great but it dose'nt seem to stay that way !The funny thing is that know boat company that I have ever popped or bought a popped mold of has ever called or come after me,Im sure if I was hurting there bottom line It would get pretty loud,I would guess Wally at Triad ,dosen't know I exist,,Im just another small mom and pop boat builder that is lucky enought to have a few great customers that,seem to like my product ,and are nice enough to tell there friends!For give me if I ever get to mouthy when defending my company !I started it and Im proud of what I've built and what I plan to build ! john

To LPB .... we have "E-Talked a few times and he knows that I have never once questioned his or LPB's boat building credentials. I'm sure you noticed that in my original post here .... and yes it is nice to have a good hearty disscussion here about some heated topics .............. just sometimes they do turn south real fast ( no offence to you people in the lovely south !! Lol ) and that is a shame because we can all benifit from the knowledge we all gain here on Scream and Fly.
