'65 Merc won't idle

This sweet old 65hp Merc won't idle unless the choke is on a little bit. It runs OK at high idle. What should I be thinking here?

The idle is not getting gas, there is a small tube that can clog when old gas is left in the carb. To fix you gotta pull the carbs off and clean them. But before you do that , try to richin the idle screws by turning them out a turn.
