WHAT PICS?OOPS PULLED UP YOUR POST AS YOU WERE ATTCHING PICS.NICE LOOKING BEACH.LOOKS MORE LIKE A RIVER THAN A CREEK THOUGH.
As you can tell, I ain't to good with a computer. You would think by now I would made all possible mistakes but some of them happen over and over. Good thing I'm better with motors.
It is the Illinois river. Copperas Creek is just the name of the area. It enters the river on the other side about 1/2 mile or so north.

You guys going to come race Ottawa this coming Sat?
Rick
I didn't know the race was this Saturday. I love that place. We raced my Hydrostream there the first year and broke the motor. Met a bunch of good people though. One of the guys I boat with and I always ride in the big Harley parade on Saturday in conjunction with the TT races and on Sunday there is a party on our beach that will have about 50 boaters present. I leave early Monday morning for a week long pool tournament in Las Vegas. If it wasn't for all of that, I'd be there cause there's not many things I like better than drag boats. Hopefully next year we will bring up several boats. Let me know how things turn out . Good luck, have fun, and be carefull.

Looks like a good time.
Best place to put in out that way?
Bob
I have never used the Banner ramp but it is the closest. Sure here a lot of tire squealing from people trying to pull out. Must be pretty steep. It is right across the river from our beach. The next ramp north is Pekin and I would not reccommend any of them to my worst enemy. They are not just useless, they are dangerous. It is sad a city of 40,000 people will not spend a few bucks to fix crap ramps. You would think the lost revenue from the fuel alone would get thier attention but apparently not. The next one north is Mendenhall Road and they are supposed to be pretty good. About 20 miles or so from our beach but still below the locks. The next one is in Creve Cour, just below the locks and I have heard it is pretty good. Tavern and restaurant at the ramp. Everything else is above the locks . Peoria has some very nice marinas with quality ramps. If you know you are coming down, email or pm me and I'll give directions to cabin and you can use our ramp. It isn't much but we have 4 wheel drives and can pull most anything out of water. If your boat is big, well that might be a problem. Hope to see you.
