When it comes to outboards, we have discussed it here. There is a ton of good reading here, so grab a cold one and read on.

There are not any books just on outboards, but A. Graham Bell wrote a good one on two-strokes. Gordon Jennings' book is out of print, but a great book if you can find a used copy. And Dr. Blair has a good text that is a very dry read but has good info.

websites-

http://www.hpt-sport.com/direct.htm

Both are good sites to get you started.

The TSR software is has good info as well - http://www.tsrsoftware.com/index_2.html

I hope this helps,
