my vandal is the same gel colors and was somewhat faded when i got it. i tryed to buff it but it didnt work. ended up wet sanding the whole thing with 400 then 800 then rubbing compound then wax.

i got cracks and i dont think you can fix em without regelling the whole thing.

good luck its alot of work but it will look good in the end

after looking at your pictures i think it may need to be recleared, but id try what i said above before you did that.

fortunately mine was only faded where the cover didnt cover the boat.

From Murph to Smurf

I have been using this stuff on my boats for years it is just awesome. Easy to apply and to wipe off just use cheese cloth. It’s so easy to use I put a coat on every time I clean the boat. I had a buddy that had an old Sidewinder that could of used a new coat of clear. Put this on and the boat looks like new. Just keep applying and it’s a lot cheaper then a new coat of clear and avoids the pain of wet sanding. I’m convinced that it really helps stop the blistering of the Gel by sealing it up. It looks pricey but the can will last a long time. Follow the directions and head the warning of being slippery. Jump on the deck after you apply it and you will be in the drink.

i figure after fixing that crack in the bow i will probably have it recoated or painted. as long as the price doesnt hurt to bad. luckily i have the gelcoat if i go that route.
