Anyone Wanna help me get my Desktop back?

LOL! I rebooted and its gone, vanished. I started in safe mode, didn't help. Thanks to 2k pro I'am able to use the alt ctrl del window, find iexplore, and also run ad aware, and get on this site. All my prgrams have to be started that way. I tryed putting in a clean boot disk and running scanreg/restore to try and go back like a week or so but it doesn't even run?:confused: Anyone know where the control panel is in the winnit folder? If I could find it and run it I may be able to diagnose from there. I've never heard of this happen before, its freakin nuts.

Alright I got it back by starting explorer back up, but then when I reboot I'm back at square one. Does this mean exploorer is corrupt?

Never heard of that one before.
Try this - R-Click on the desktop someplace and see if Active Desktop is on. Turn it off and see if that fixes it.
My next guess is - is this XP ?

Nope its 2000 pro. It seems that explorer just isn't booting up when the computer does. I have to manully start it and then everything is fine. How do I get it to automatically boot up?
