Think I've seen your name involved with the new Super Sport class and guess thats what you're referring to??
Getting into racing seems to be like some other things.
Lot more talking than doing.
Maybe the fear factor setting in, maybe the better half putting her foot down, maybe finances??
Who knows for sure.
I raced small O/B's for nine years and I can tell you that durring that time a lot more people talked about starting racing than actually did it.
As far as the offer of a rig-----------
My guess is if it was offered to a fellow racer you'd never be stood up.
Not sure on a answer for you, sucks that peopple would make that king of (HUGE) offer of generosity and then be stood up.
I will say this.
I am unemployed and up to my eye balls in bills/debt.
BUT, If some one offered me a ride in a "real" race boat, I'd hitch hike to the course and put everything on the pre- approved charge cards I'm still (??) getting!!
