If you mean midsection, the answer is yes. You'll have to get a 2.5 exhaust plate (or modify your 2.4 exhaust plate) though.

Just curious what happens if you don't match the 2 up? I'm doing similar.
It won’t run as well as it should because of the turbulence in the exhaust ports.

I have witnessed a "engine builder" sold and mounted a 2.5 Drag Motor on a 2.4 1 piece tuner adapter along with a steel flywheel , mismatched front half , 3 different style pistons , no spacers on the injectors (just ran the nut up to where the thread ended and called it good ), the wrong rod bolts ( Too long ) and hardware grade head bolts that were 1/2" too short and sold it like that to an unsuspecting customer as a racehorse turned out when it ran like a Shetland pony he brought it to me and after a flywheel change , correcting ALL the deficiencys and changing to a 2.5 1 piece tuner adapter the motor ran great. This guy was a Bass Fisherman and was sold a DRAG MOTOR ! But before the changes the motor ran like a dog , the thing could not loose its exhaust BTU's ran hot and almost burned down !
If you do choose to use and machine the 2.4 tuner adapter be ever so carefull as when the thing is matched there is VERY little meat seperating the water from the exhaust on the front side of the water triangle. If that area is not large enough to support a gasket when you chop back the throttle it will suck the gasket in a pop 5 & 6 due to water in the bores !
Something I have seen in my 2.4 days !
