Land & Sea Foot Throttle

I have a dual action L&S foot throttle that I am about ready to install and was wondering if their cables are a must for this unit. If not, are there any others that might work? Can anyone give me any feed back on how this combination works because skiing is an absolute must.

I think that thiers sucks.

I hate those big hand throttle boxes.

You can set up any foot throttle to work in combination with any hand thottle you want.

Any lever with a full throw and an attachment point for a throttle cable will work.

Just link the hand throttle to the other end of the foot feed arm.

In Control makes a very sweet but expensive foot throttle with all the dual throttle attachments too.

Almost every foot throttle is set up fordual use.

Cut your own old cables to length.

I installed a L&S foot throttle earlier this year and had to get the cables from them.
I saw in West Marine the other day, Merc cable ends that fit on the Morse 3300 Universal cables. The 3300 cabes have the 10-32 threaded ends that should work in the foot throttle and the kits will adapt the other ends to fit your motor (Merc or Evinrude). Wish I knew of this $120.00 ago. Looks like about $45.00 for the engine cable with the adapter. Hope this helps.

Alaska Streamin is onit. The L&S foot throttle is set up ta use a Morse #33 cable (#10-32 threads). Teleflex is 3300. This is da universal control cable end. U haveta run the throttle from ya control box ta da foot throttle and then go ta da mota. Ta use the universal type cables ya haveta git da adapter kit ta attach them ta da mota and the control box. Then ya jis run em ta da right end of the foot throttle and away ya go. If'n ya need more hep ya can e-me.

Go ahead and get the low friction cables from Land and Sea. Get the one that goes from the Foot Throttle to the engine and other that goes from the Foot Throttle to the Control Box. They are supposedly the "low friction" type and work well. I like the L & S foot throttle, it has given me 14 years of trouble free service. Maybe the only thing Land and Sea made that is good. You can paint/anodize them to match your rig and they look great. See the pic...............
