I started calling Land and Sea for various reasons in the 70's and I don't recall ever having a pleasant experience with them. In my opinion they're the J.C. Whitney of the boat world, with a lot of accessory type stuff that has limited IF ANY value. I don't recall ever seeing L & S logo on the side of a winning race boat in all these years and I've never figured out how they stay in business.
Again, just an opinion, but I think some of the stuff they build is absolute junk, like the billet heads that have destroyed powerheads for everybody I've ever known who ran em because of inferior cooling (again, my opinion)

So far it has been good to me, but has any one had bad experiences with them?? After learning of their reputation, I'm kinda worried.:(

Had a problem with one of their jackplates, called them told me to take it off and send it to them. They would take a look at it, also told me it would be 3 to 4 weeks before they could look at it and oh also $225.00. I started looking for used jackplate to put on my Shadow. Chuck.
