It is with great joy that I am able to announce my retirement as the American Outboard Federation (AOF) Executive Director. This is a move I have been trying to make for the last couple of years. After ten years in AOF government, I now have many personal goals planned, including promoting local stock, mod, and pro kneel down racing, and working on our Hydrostream, possibly drag racing it. Hopefully I can get more active with Kier ruabouts including an expansion to once again offer hyroplanes.
And it is with great pleasure that I introduce Jodi Montoya as the new Executive Director. The office has now been successfully moved from Center Point, Iowa to: 3234 ST Rt 9 Sedro Wooley, WA 98284 360-856-2091. A branch office will also be maintained at: 939 Lake Apthorpe DR. Lake Placid, FL 33852 863-531-0269.
Jodi is extremely capable as she has been the Administrator of a hospital care facility for several years. Her background is in nursing, but as administrator has experience to include all administrative duties including overseeing employees, day to day operations, and financial statements.
I will remain in a limited capacity as the AOF secretary for this year as a member of the Executive Board.
My personal feeling is that Jodi is the best qualified and our very best choice for an Executive Director for outboard racing. She comes from a boat racing family and has held positions in AOF, APBA, and independent organizations.
This is an exciting time for boat racing. Look for bigger and better things coming from the American Outboard Federation (AOF) and boat racing in general with Jodi at the helm! Our website is under construction, but watch for a new and better site at: AOF-USA.org soon.
