View Full Version : Junk Yard Boat
Here is the boat that I got out of the junk yard!
It was in a car wreck, and was in really bad shape. The man who had it, wanted to have it taken to the trash pile. I worked on the fiberglass for 6 months. The hull, with a Mercury Black Max 150, was sold to me for $ 1000.00
I repaired it with information taken from web sites like this site.
I painted it, and I have never painted anything before. Thanks to the internet, everything that has been done to this boat has been learned online on different sites!
Is it a Ski Boat, Runabout, or what?
Any information will be great?

Looks great, get the hull identification # as mentioned above and you can trace it back to find the brand, after seeing it with paint I agree it looks like a laser. I have talked to a couple people around here and as I told you before all of them thought as I did and said coochee kraft only built smaller fishing boats, but the Hull ID number will tell you for sure. Nice job! ~GB

Has anyone ever seen or know where I can get photos of other Coochee Kraft or Aggressor Boats?
I have never seen another one like mine. I have looked for weeks! I'm just trying to figure out why nobody else has one of these boats.
Is it because there were so few made, or what?

That is the people that made Cooche craft, so your tag must be right. as I said before I did not know they made a boat that size, but you learn something new everyday. A good friend of mine(college roommate) was born and raised in Willacoochee, and still lives there. I will call him tommorrow and see if he can get me a number for the guy that made it. Its a good chance that he knows the guy, Willacoochee is a very small town, you could ride thru it and not know it was there actually. so you pretty much know everyone. Give me a day or two to get intouch with him and I will send you an email and let you know what i can come up with. As far as why you can't find more. My guess would be there is not alot around. I know where alot of the smaller fishing boats are. Where are you located? In GA? I always thought that Coochee Craft was kind of small scale as far as customers. Meaning they did not sell in a large area, kind of close to home. Can't call the name of mine at this time but they looked like a conoe with the back chopped off flat. Said Coochee Craft on the side. They were a great pond/creek boat for two people with a 3-5 HP outboard or even a trolling motor. I will take a pic of mine this weekend and post it so you can see what I am talking about. ~GB

looks like you will have a sharp boat to show off
Thanks for your help with identification!
Before Paint:
I repaired the bottom, replaced the wooden floor, and repaired busted fiberglass near the control box, and a big hole at the top left back of the boat. I also repaired the transom.
The helm was too far to the right. It had me too cramped up against the control box.
I filled everything on the dash in with fiberglass. I moved the helm position over to the left 4 inches and re drilled the instrument holes.
It has a Hi-Jacker Jack Plate and a Mercury Black Max 150. It has been dry stacked and has a nose cone on the lower unit. The motor has 150 psi of compression on all cylinders, and is said to have come off of a pickle fork racing boat? It also has hydraulic steering. I just ordered a Holley Blue electric pump and regulator since it has no fuel pump! I will need seats and a trailer soon!
I have had the boat for 8 months and I have never had the chance to ride in it.
Some day I'll get the chance to see if it sinks or swims, but in the mean time I will just keep tinkering with it until it's finally done!
