HYDROSTREAM VECTOR:
Just curious about how fast these things go. I run like 80 but whats the fastest vectors you've seen, or even hydrostreams, what was their power? thanks

What kind of motor and prop do you run to get 80 with your vector.
I am getting 81 on gps with a 1981 merc 225/ CLE gearcase and a 28" Mazco RE4 on my Vector. Hoping to hit 85+ with a 30-32" Cleaver this summer.

I'm not a Hydrostream owner, but I love them and have always wanted one. I've heard in the past, on this board, of vectors that ran 120's. Man that is fast. I do know from experience that there are plenty around that run in the triple digits. One of my friends just bought a 1979 vector with a 115 merc. He, nor I could drive it!!!!! It was a blast though. The most fun I've had in a boat going 50. Makes me want to sell the smooth riding Mirage and get one....

I have a beefed 135 OMC that has pushed a fairly heavy Glastron to 70, and just rigged it on a flat pad Vector. I should find out before the weekend. Maybe 75?? 80???
