LAST CHANCE EVER TO OWN ONE !!!!!!!!!! I just spoke to Ken and he suggested we auction one of the posters he autographed for BTTW right here on S&F before the event. We did this 3 years ago and KK paid “I think” $250.00 for one. Ken has informed me that these are the last posters you will see. He has a half dozen or so he will be keeping for his grandchildren etc. We have the last 4 posters available, period, the end !!!!!!!!!! Ken you da Man !!!!!!!!!!! Ken said they auctioned one off at an Antique Wooden Boat show in Clayton, north of Syracuse and a bunch of wood antique boat guys got going on it and it went for over $300.00. This will be your last chance ever to own one of these authentic original autographed Water World Speed Record Posters. All the money we get for this will be going to the Alzheimer’s Association. Shipping will be included. The poster will be delivered rolled up safe and sound in a shipping tube. You supply your own frame.

Here are a couple simple rules:

If you want to bid, just post a reply here on this thread with your offer (Bids are only accepted on this thread)
All you need to do is post a higher bid than anyone else has
In the event of a last minute tie, the bidder that posted first will win (just like E-Bay)
This auction will be open until Next week Wednesday July 21, 2004 @ Noon Central Standard Time
Payment needs to be received by Saturday July 24, 2004 @ noon so we can add it to our donation

We take PayPal, Cash, Money Orders, or Checks
Checks can be written to “Alzheimer’s Association”

Let’s start the bidding at 50 bucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job Sherlock. I was hoping for a new picture in my pool room, but I am much happier seeing this much money going to such a good cause. My wife worked in an Alzheimer's wing of a nursing home and a very good friend of mine had his father stricken with the disease before he passed. A big pat in the back to Balzy also for his dedication to the cause. One of these day's I will make it to your event.

Yeah, my ole lady catches me spendung $300+ on a poster, even though it is a good cause, I know exactly what would get knocked out. Probably wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the Daytona project, the Hydrostream project, the cabin project, wait a minute, this could take for ever. Good luck with the auction.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Been a bit busy here at BTTW.

Sherlock, you are the proud owner of a Ken Warby WWSR poster !!!!!!!

All we need is your money now buddy. You da man. Thanks so much for your support. The event is going real well as far as the donation goes so far. Your $303 just helps more. When you were thinking so long I thought you may bid $317.60 to match Ken's record speed. Bet ya wish you would have thought of that now.

You have mail about how to get the funds here.

Thanks again to everyone that helped here.:D :D :D

What's happening????????

The event is over, the donation has been made and no word from you. Do you want this poster or not? I guess if I don't hear from you soon we will put it up again for auction and send a seperate check to AD. Please reply ASAP !!!!!!!!!

Don't take the post wrong. I trust you will pay. It's just that one of the rules of the auction was that we had the money here by Saturday noon so we could add it to the donation. We busted our humps to do what we could for AD and wanted to make the best donation possible. We did really well with or without the poster money. I think $20,000 is a great number !!!!!!! It's just that I had a pile to do to keep this thing going and I had sent you a PM along with a post here and didn't hear anything back. I will be happy to send you the poster. Just let me know if you want to send a check or do the PayPal thing. You have a PM that has the addresses. Sorry if you took this wrong, I am just a bit stressed after the last 6 days.

Rock,
With Illinois in your location there's almost no excuse for not being there. The bar has been raised for charity events this year not to mention the fun and comraderie that was had!!
Hope to see you at the next event??

Thumper. You're right. Sounds like a real good time. This year I am between boats. Re-powering Vector to sell and building Daytona to fly. Maybe next year with a group of my boating buddies and our hot rods.
