'98 ProMax , Is 175 too hot ?

Is175 degrees too hot ? how about 1250 on the EGT ?

My '98 pmax 225 ss will run about 190 if I hold it at 6000 or above for several minutes. I am showing about 25# of water pressure.

Hi Rich,
I did a TON of reading last season while breaking in my new powerhead because of some cooling problems.
Seems most people feel a head temp of 175 is OK, but that's the maximum.
