I was at the run on saturday (my first PBCC event) and I dont think we could have had a better day weather wise. The event itself got off to a slow start in the morning but once we got under way everything went off without a hitch.
I met a lot of great people but a special thanks to Rich for giving me a quick ride in his beautiful STV. I felt awful that you experienced motor problems while being nice enough to take me out for a ride after the event was over with. I hope there are no serious problems and that you can get back on the water asap (and thanks for pointing me towards this website).

Sounds like it was a great day!
Could there be any more set back on that Tuff boat? What is it - like 42 inch set back?
Cheers!

Airpacker,
Tell me more about this p-22. I have one that is being built into "project sleeper". Do you know what it has for power?
Usedtoskidoo
I think the PBCC sight it down.
Here is the P-22 in the shop, right after I buffed it out.

Hey guys! still on holiday so away from computer. LOB was best run I've been on so far.....beautiful weather and scenery. The amount of attention we created at the docks was cool....LOUD w/some wicked large boats. I'll be going back in a few weeks just for a day of boating.
Matt...glad you found the site and hope to see you at more great PBCC runs. Thanks for posting these pics....mine are fuzzy but will put some up soon....and your Baja is very nice. Could you email me some of those pics/vids you shot of me running please.
As for the state of my motor.....siezed # 6 piston. No big deal! now its in for the suppa Horsepower makeover....I needed an excuse for more power. So next event Matt I'll show ya what its capable of. Gee its too bad nobody got a pic of me being towed by the aluminum w/ 8HP.
PBCC is a great way to see cool boats and meet new members like Matt and long time members like Mike from North Bay, Al R., Graham and his perfect Euro, Sean's J craft was minty ...and of course Sean R. is worth the price of admission alone.LOL.
The Couchaching Beach Day should be a blast too.....lets see the boats!

I am very much looking forward to the Couch beach day as well. Its not entirely clear to me where that event will be based from? Am I to assume Big Cheif Island? Thats certainly where I have been spending many weekends and this past was packed with boats also no doubt from the nice weather.
I have also been spreading the word as much as possible about the club and upcoming events. A guy at Big Chief this weekend with a nice Senza was very interested as was another AE-21 owner who was having some setup/motor problems(i think the Speaths are helping him alot)
There certainly still seems to be alot of confusion as to whats going on with the club/web site etc. Anthony is it possible to just throw a single simple page on the domain address just so people can get a contact email or something to find out whats up instead of the "page not found" error? I know the problems that are being dealt with slowely and surely but it would be a shame to lose some of these new faces because the information is hard/impossible to find. I'd offer more help there but am not very good with that stuff(although I'd help someone with the skills)
Cheers and great pics

I will do what I can re; the Website and see if and what it would take to get it back. And would be happy to do all the updates again as long as the stuff comes to me. We lost contact with the guy who did all of our hosting. I will also contact a fellow boater who runs his own site and does his own hosting. He mentioned he could host it for us but I need to get more info on this.
SS .... contact me regarding this topic. The website was great. Hell ... I boaught alot of equipment to update it and capture images/video so ... I can still do it if wanted.?????????.

YEP....THANKS to AIRPACKER....there are exciting things on the Horizon and again we can not reiterate how significant the INSURANCE was to get us too this position.
AGAIN Big THANKS to SEAN....he is really opening up NEW waters for the club along with some significant support.
AND YES...we are going to NEED lots of HELP....so if your up for helping out JEFF...I thank you too.
Sounds like I could see you next week at BTTW...lets make sure we have a little meeting to see how you can help and I will discussing things with BALZY too to see about a CAN-AM EVENT.
ANYONE ELSE that would like to ride the the PBCC waves with us...get a hold of me or packer....

Certainly hope I wasn't taken as to be complaining or pressing on the web site issue, I didn't mean it that way. I am aware things are slowly being addressed.
It definatly would be useful to attract new members with a web page even if it only has very basic info. This was especially aparent at Big Cheif where pens/paper tend to be scarce! Its easier to remeber the web address than someone's phone# or email. The guy with the AE-21(I am so bad with names out there) really would get alot from you OB guys as he seemed to be struggling getting his motor to run right, beautiful boat tho.
I can't wait for the Couch day and I'd venture to say that could turn into one of the best events from a location standpoint. For those who have never been to Big Cheif Island its a local gathering spot for a dozen to hundreds of boats. The water is shallow several hundred feet offshore and the bottom is sandy and ultra clean. For the most part people wander about and socialize and its also a great place for families and kids alike. Long weekends tend to be extra packed(have seen 300+ boats) and there is often a live band on the sat/sun. The Aug long weekend tends to draw an even bigger crowd.
If you have the ability to sleep over it would be well worth it (hell I have slept over in my jetboat!) I simply cannot say enough about BC!
Here's pic to give you an idea....
Bring lots of liquids and sunscreen as I am walking proof how burned one can get out there. A portable BBQ and watertoys are also a bonus. An anchor or two, depending on your size is a must.
Sean let me know if I can assist with this event in any way as I am there frequently anyway(should be again this weekend) I guess from whats been said its a low mtc event which may make it even better for everyone. Does the club have a banner by any chance? If we rigged it up on poles this would be a great place to get some free exposure.

The cottagers around us all call the bay on Big Chief 'Pee Bay'. There is a lot of beer and no washrooms...
Our cottage is on the east side of the lake between Fern Resort and the Casino. Just off Garnet Island. Going north from Fern there is a really huge cottage on the next point, then a double boat house, then a single boat house with a red roof, and then my yellow Allison. We have a 9' inflatable raft out front.
Hope to see some of you up there some time. Swing close in and I can put the boat in the water.
Most weekends I only run fast in the morning before all the boat traffic churns up the water.

David we must have buzzed by your place alot last year. We used to camp on the first island as you come thru the narrows just south of the resort(with the white strobe light). I am certain you would have heard my bigblock ;) In fact when we sank we wouldn't have been far from you and may have actually done the salvage on that island at the north end(gotta love duct tape!)
Not sure if I am going to make it up this weekend or not. i've found out I'm running the wrong flexplate and want to swap it out before I ruin the bearings. I may see about coming up Sat.
I'm pretty sure I know where you are although I'm surprised I never noticed the Ally. I'll try to PM you if I am heading up and maybe we can meet up at BC.
Cheers

Looks like you guys had a great day!
I wish I could make it, but I just got my truck back 2 days ago!
Was the water calm?
It looked like it was pretty calm from the pics.
My old V-King has a phobia of big water!
Hopefully I can make the couch run!
Andrew..
