Out cruising on the lake this weekend I saw another speed merchant tooling around in a boat that had "Avenger" written on the side of the boat.

Brand new, looked to be about 18' with a 225 Evinrude on it. Really nice looking ride.

Anybody have any info on these? Just wondering if I should chase him down soon or look to avoid at all costs :D

My google search just brings up Military boats........

On a side note: I am finally getting some seat time and running my Vking up into the mid to high 70s. By the end of the summer I hope to see 80

Seems to me I saw an Avenger at the Toronto boat show. It was in the same booth as the Sleekcrafts.

Anthony SS posted this on a different post. Maybe he knows more?

It did look like one of Roy's boats, but I didn't get close enough to take a look.

Just checked in my desk and pulled out one of Roy's cards and yes he builds the Avenger.

Is this a type of modified tunnel?

I could be all wet (I often am), but I thought the Avengers were a very flat V. Almost like a JCraft.

Ya its a very flat Vee.
Heavy and built well but not a speed demon ........

The people we used to rent a cottage from recently bought one, i think it is a 20 foot model from roy f lewis, Its not too fast 60-65mph on speedo, quality seemed ok, im waiting to blow by them this summer in the streamm.

I have a 20' Avenger (by Cee Bee boats) powered by a merc 200EFI. Both the boat and motor are from 97. It will run a solid 75mph w/ a ski prop on, (74.7 GPS) and pegs the speedo (80mph, no GPS) w/ a taller prop.

They are not light boats, but can get up on the pad and fly. If the guy driving the Avenger has some Cajones, and skill, he'll give ya a run.
