Use the S&F search feature, and you will find plenty of information.

My advice: Remove it.

Remove the injection. But:
DON'T HALF-ASS THE JOB. THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY TO DO IT:

Ask Rick or Barbara for a blockoff kit, I think it's only $15 or $20. They actually hand-package this custom OEM parts kit:

-blockoff plug/plate
-2 machine screws
-o-ring
-threaded plug

Say that you're a Scream And Fly member, you'll get a special price better than any other dealer.

Remove oil injection pump, remove pump shaft and gear. Install plastic blockoff retainer plug in its place along with the o-ring. This blockoff plate has a long plug that occupies the space where the pump driveshaft used to be. It is a NECESSARY part, since it ensures that the shaft guide bushing does not fall inside the block!

Remove oil warning module and all connections completely. This module performs a function that will no longer be needed! Remove it. If there is another module mounted together with it, you may need to shorten of replace the screws to re-mount the other module.

(EFI MODELS ONLY):
Remove the water warning module while you're at it (little box with red light), since it uses the other module to sound the beeper when the separator has water in it. Remove pump rotation sensor, remove oil cap and wires, you won't need this stuff anymore.

Your overheat temp sender will remain hooked up to a small terminal block where one of the warning module's wires was connected. This will still feed the warning horn if you overheat.

Remove oil reservoirs and hoses "to and from." Remove the tee fitting and fuel feed hose, and replace with a fresh piece of hose. Unscrew the big air pressure feed check valve from the engine block, and replace it with the appropriate threaded plug from the kit.

NOW DON'T FORGET TO GET A RATIO-RITE MEASURING CUP AND ADD OIL!!

I just had my 200 efi done. Make sure you drain the unmixed gas from your lines, filter, and seperator. These are easily over looked and could be an expensize oversight.

I've run injection for 11 years until my trip the GPI two weeks ago when Randy disconnected it for me. Me, in all of my wisdom, filled the tank up as per usual, getting ready for my first run w/ mixed fuel, but forgot to leave room for oil.................. yes, my friends laughed at me.;)

Nice to not worry about the oil pump etc. now. Get one of those containers that tells you how much oil to add based on how many gallons of fuel you put in.

First mix 50:1 oil in the fuel cell.
Run the boat/engine long enough to get the fuel/oil mix into the engine.
Then remove the oil injection using the Merc kit.
This is best to insure the engine is getting oil right away.

Then marking your fuel cell with a permanent marker in 4 or 5 gallon increments so you have a good idea of how much oil/fuel you will need to add every time you go out is a good idea. This makes it less likely that you add too much oil and fog the lake killing every mosquito for miles running too rich… LOL

Trying to mix 40:1 and ending up 30:1 people at the boat ramp will think you set the water on fire!
:D Yeah, I done it before :D
