I JUST BOUGHT ONE AND THE RIDE IS UNBELEVABLE. IT WILL TAKE 3 AND 4 FT CHOP LIKE NOTHING AT HIGH SPEEDS. MINE IS A TWIN OUT BOARD SET UP. THANKS ERIC.

I'm on my third one..this isn't a 25 but they are very stable.operator friendly, and love a nice chop..not the best on flat calm water nor the speeds of STV type but a blast to run,..kinda like a cult thing when ya own one..
Solid hull.!.Robert and crew built these like tanks..you should call Robert Wilkens at Talon in Sarasota..he is more then willing to talk about these boats..he most likely can give you history on the boat if ya give him the hull #..they are like his children..
The one you mentioned looks great and seems resonable from the pics..
just my .02 cents.......

What motors do you have on yours and how fast is it? What's it cost to insure that bad boy?

A guy on the lake here has a 25 with a 10:71 blown 572 big block Chevy and a #5 Mercruiser/speedmaster with a turbo 400 in the middle. It's a neat rig and plays with the chop on this lake.
Half Fast's new 22 is awsome also. I drove it a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It's got 2.5 carbs and he said it'll run a little over 110. I only ran it about 80. It's got a lot more wind in the face than I'm used to and I'd want goggles to go faster.

10-4 on the wind in the face..
Half Fast got a real cherry on that one.!!!.its spotless..I'd jumped on it if I was a twin person...

Mike the 25 talon is a nice ridding cat. It is a easy cat to drive and does not have the problems with turns and proprosing. In the rough water it will be a little bumpy though ,due to the center sponson. The Talon would be the secound boat I would own to My 24 Skater.

Thanks for the offer, but I'd like an outboard version. If anyone has any outboard 22 or 25 talons for sale, I'd definately like to hear about them.
Thanks,

ps My Allison Grandsport with 2.5 EFI Merc will soon be for sale. Of course, I need to find my new talon first.

I had a 25 with a 700+hp blower motor 109 on gps. I ran it in the rough a lot. Amazing ride up to a point (+/- 3ft) then it falls off rather quickly, but it is only a 25 footer. The ride in mixed boat chop etc. is fantastic. Easy boat to drive, I still miss mine.....

Mike--
there's a guy in Omaha that has a 25 with twin 260's. Last i heard it was for sale. It runs over a hun. some years ago he was toying with speedmasters. He doesn't run it much as he has other toys. You want his number? I haven't seen him in years but can track down his #.

My uncle has an 89' 25 w/ twin 225 Johnson HO's.
The motors are stock minus bobs cones & he runs in the 100 range. Not sure on props.
Good luck as they are really nice boats.

Mike, once you get into the bigger cats with the twins you will be hooked. Not quite the thrill ride of the STV, but you will sure feel a lot safer. Don't forget 25' Warlocks or a 24' Skater.

Mike,
This may be a little off the beating path, but, I am selling my 30' Spectre w/ twin Promax 225's. Not sure how fast you want to go or if you want to stay around 25' but, this thing handles great and is very good on gas for twin o/b's. Top speed is 92mph on gps. If you want more details on it, please let me know.
