I just got the latest issue of Hot Rod, and the car we built and took on Power Tour is featured in it this month (August). The car is a 66 Mustang Fastback with a 2003 Cobra drivetrain.

Neat car. I don't think I got my HotRod this month. Ain't sure if the prescription ran out or the mailman took it home.:(

That's a cool car. The *only* thing I'm not 100% on is the teardrop hood.

We used the A/FX cars from that era as a guide for the car, that's how we ended up with the hood. After we had the engine in the car we needed that hood to clear the blower pulley in the front. The pulley is about a half an inch from the hood the in the pointed section of the scoop.
Thank you. We had a great time building it, it hardly seems like work.
A bunch of the guys from work took the car the Good Guys Street Machine Nationals over the weekend and made it to the TOP 5 Finalists for Street Machine of the Year. I stayed home and took the family out in the boat instead of going to the show, I been away too much this year.

Damn, I LOVE THAT HOOD. I just bought one from Crites Restorations for my Fairlane/Thunderbolt project. I remember seenin' the A/FX Falcons and Mustangs with those hoods, in addition to the 'Bolts back then.
Was the Street Machine Nationals at Commerce? I thought it was still a week or so away.

your prescription raceman? I think you're looking for subscription. Thats not a good sign when you get your "medicine" confused.

Nope, the car magazines are Prescriptions for the addiction. Seein' other peoples' keeps me from having to own em all.
If there was a ScreamandFly quality website for cars I could be happy cuttin' out most of the car magazines like I've done with the boat stuff.

I finally got my HotRod yesterday and read the article. That's a really neat car............. big power too. I don't know if anybody builds that hood in carbon fiber for the 64 Fairlane body, but if they do I wish I'd seen it before I ordered the std white gel one from Crites.
Do you work at Year One or just buy from em?
