before watching the video id like to say that that day it was a little breezy and i had alot of trouble finding the sweet spot on the boat (its really werid). since then ive found it and fly across the bays SAFELY at over 90mph (ask bulletboy). its alot more IN control now. and im sure greg will get new video of it.

ALSO this morn. the boat made a new top speed, 94.6MPH! :) more to go once i get a new gearcase though


edit:after watching the video.... WHOLY CRAP! i didnt know it looked that outa control. if you can see on one of the passes i finally trimmed up and it flew great. ill have to get better video so it doesnt look like the boat is totaly out of control:)

Don't worry about it scott, if it doesn't feel that bad it must not be that bad, or maybe your just F***ing nuts... haha
That does look like one hell of a ride and you have some pretty hefty ballz to have your foot on the go pedal when "the bath tub" starts ta rock... good luck with the new case, get back in action asap.
Oh and you were wondering about your weight... well with those ballz I suspect you'll weigh in at about... off the scales:p

next wed. im going to weigh it but my estimate is around 1000lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas... its probably less but i hope its more so i can drag race it:)

also.. it doesnt feel fun when it chine walks like that.. i found today that around 70 the boat gets nasty.. it doesnt know if it wants to dive or fly so i just hit the gas hard and once you hit 80ish the boat is just freakin flying, it doesnt even need much steering correction till i trim the hell outa it!:eek:

MOTOR sounds SWEET...

keep at 'er ...you'll get it...and good too see your wearing some safety gear.

Try a little more trim to get it up on the pad quicker and it should help resolve the porpoise and chine walk too.

How much does the motor weigh and how much does the baot weigh?

yup that was it.. the problem is that the boat doesnt like the transition from neg. trim to positive trim, so what i need to do is trim so its pos. trim then hit the gas and it just crusies.

motor is probably around 325ish.
boat is 800lbs-ish' rigged and full of gas i think?

COOL SCOTT...thanks for the info...another things I am sure you are aware...V6 on a short boat is prone to porpoise....two speeds...dead slow and WOT:D

Have you added any weight in the bow? I used to do that...to fake out the CG to make the boat think it was longer....of course the keel length can't lie;)

Helped the boat settle quicker when it got out of shape and prevented the boat from launching too much when crossing or hitting mystery waves, or even just backing out of the throttle

we only moved the battery to the front b/c its 40lbs i didnt need in the back (and i have a surge tank back there).

the boat crosses small waves bettter at 90 then at 40 b/c theres nothing in the water at 90.. its just thud thud thud and there gone lol

This kid can handle this thing very well. The first time I watched him drive it was at the romp and I almost sh#t myself since then I've watched him Tame this little beast he really does good it looks awful when he's turning around but then look out because it just screams we made about ten runs at 90+ all the way across the bay side by side and each time he looked better. You see the looks we get from the bigger boats when this little blue streak blows by them at 90 it's priceless. :D

I think you have a nice little ride there, with a huge frickin engine!
I would have never thought of putting a v6 on a 14 footer.
But it seems to fly well, once you find the g-spot on her.

Nice rig, hopefully your boat now will be stronger, better and faster! Realy an amazing boat. First i'm going to remake my fletcher and after it i'm going to make an hydrostream by myself because here in Belgium you can't find them. :( I realy love this boat!!

Let's see some more video of it at 90 miles! This boat was really INSANE!! :D I agree on your thoughts regarding hitting waves at 90 miles rather than 40. The sound when the hull just slam over the top of the wavess are just heaven on earth. Especially if the waves are so high that the engine gets air and the boat brakes in the air when the thrust is out. Snow here now... I want to move to US ;) Stay safe!

its was pretty stable for what it was.. untill i pushed the limits and hooked it. the 3cyl is probably going back on there when i get done with the laser.
