Why?? cause 2 yrs ago I bought a 280 that was 6 months old from Steve @ Lawrenceburg Marine that had an XL extended Warranty purchased by the previous owner from Lawrenceburg for $2999.00
When I went bought the motor it was at good deal, look like brand new and just figured the extended warranty was just a bonus.. got home and had it switched over to my name for 25 bucks..
fast foward to now.. last weekend heard a noise in my GC... took apart and found forward gear looking chittie.. So I start calling the claim number on the contract to report a claim. All I get when call 877-501-1387 is message saying ' this mailbox is full" then hangs up...
Ahh Chit I'm thinking.. this warranty company done went belly up. I 've look all over the net high-low.. for more information.. Nuthing..
Hope nobody else has XL warranty... If so . yur like me .. Aint got Chit the way its looking..
least one thing good is I didn't pay the 2999.99 orginally and just 25 bucks .. which last year I did get an ECU replaced.
Anybody else (think ) they have XL warranty or had any luck contacting them.
Guess this answers my question should I wait till my extended warranty runs out before I top- pin my pistons.. ???
Sounds like to me if your a crook and want to make some quick cash.. Open up a extended warranty company for a yr or so and then unplug your phone
or before you throw down the cash for an extended warranty. Think about there's the chance they can go belly up and leave ya calling a message box.
Glad I learned this for only 25 Bucks!
