wow.. the engine looks really big in those pics! lol the boat was running good. its a little squirley sometimes (cany you tell?) i need to make a trim indicator b/c theres a very small sweet spot and my trim is super fast so its tough to get to it. 91.4 with a 30p merc cleaver, at 7000rpm = 8% slip. looks like im raising the motor up some more:)

I can't believe you can drive that thing without any eyewear. My eyes would be full of water in 10 seconds!!

My contacts peal right off in the low 70s. Overtons carries a nice line.
That's a nice boat attached to that outboard :D Over 90 is gonna take a lot of concentration it looks like.

i dont have a trim guage yet but it seems like MOST of the time its neg. trim. the few good passes i had were either neutral or a tiny bit positive i think..

That thing looks really really cool! I am so impressed!!!!!!!
Maxam sunglasses are the best for boating. They won't come off when you look back even at100plus. The fit is great, they have spring loaded sides, and they come with two sets of lenses your choice. I chose a second set light for late evening or rainy day driving.

It looks like a fun toy you have got there!
However, sunglasses are not the way to go for high-performance boating, although it does seem to be the current fashion in the Long Island area.
You either need a full face helmet or an open face helmet + goggles. I won't get into the debate of which of the two is the way to go.

Looks AWESOME!!! Forget sunglasses and get a helmet!!
Seriously, any Harley shop will have some great foam cushioned goggles that will keep both the wind and BUGS out of your eyes. First time you catch a kritter at that speed, you will wished you had them.

Hey Scott, the boat looks really nice. Glad you took my advice & used the champ mid. I found a 30" round ear ran faster & handled better than the clever on my Vixen when I used a 1:78 inline case. I got 109 @7600 with a 14x30 DAHL round ear & 105 was best with the clever. It also carries the bow with less trim & is less twitchy when I come out of it. But I'm not using setback. How do you like the setback? Have you tried it flat on transom? Stay in touch & be safe (get a helmet). Joe with 2.4 Vixen in Fla.

hey man, ive been trying to get in tuch with you to talk about your set up and stuff! my # is 516-724-0501. give me a call sometime.
i didnt try it flat on the transom only with the the 7inches of setback so i can use a jack plate. with the motor back a little i think it fly'es the bow really nice with the 30 cleaver. best so far is 7200rpm 94.6mph with the 2:1's. when i let out of the gas the boat just settles into the water, not really to bad .. i was actually suprised how "calm" it was.
i may be comming down the FL this summer for a week or so and if i do ill bring the boat, we'll have to meet up either way.
