How can I see the gear ratio on my sportmaster gear.

should be stamped on top of the housing where it mates with the midsection.

I take a look on the gearcase.

the lower will have to be removed to see it. if you'd rather you can turn the flywheel by hand while in gear and count crank and prop shaft revolutions and divide.
