View Full Version : Dumb things we do after season is over
Check out the attachment picture. This is the result of an hour of boredom at work, a couple sheets of cardstock paper, and a roll of tape. It's hanging from the ceiling in the back room now.

Man,I like your Bitch!!!:p
I'm kind of an underground performance boater here. Nobody knows about me, I've never even put my boat in at Devil's Lake, even though it's 10 minutes from my house. How does someone like myself, living in BFE, find others in my area with fast boats? My lake is nothing but ski boats, pontoons, and jet skis, nobody to impress or race against. If someone wants to clue me in on this Hot Lap stuff, that would be nice. Maybe I'll show up next year. I put the boat in during July on Wamplers Lake on a busy weekend, and there wasn't any fast stuff on the whole lake. Just a bunch of old tri-hulls pulling tubes. I pulled up at the state park beach for lunch, and nobody asked me about my setup. I don't want to waste a good sunny day on Devil's Lake if I'm not going to meet anybody. We haven't managed to make a day for michigan outboard owners anywhere close by. I have never personally met anyone on the board, although there are many performance outboard boaters in Michigan and Ohio. I'm lonely as a boater. All by myself, doing 78 mph runs across the lake, nobody to race or show off in front of. Kind of like jacking off compared to the real thing. Now the boat's put away, I wasted another summer, all alone.

Nice setup, Yep used to go to wamplers lake ALWAYS a BIG party on the holiday weekends. Then Johnny Law came in and it was toned down alot, Old girlfriends parents had a place out at Devils Lake, Water skied ther often behind a 16 ft switzer. I think they hop up snowmobiles more than boats on that Lake. Enjoy your hibernation period, The sun will shine again in June.

We missed you a Wampler's 3 times this year. The Michigan hot boat association was there 2 weekends in September and once I think in June. I'll try to keep the board updated better on the get togethers. I had a great time out there even with my spare powerhead on and running 105. There was about 10 or so STV's and Mirages there all running 100+. Plus all the v-drives and jet boats too. Look forward to meeting you next year.Tom
