I was following his buildup (awesome work, and quicker than anyone I've ever seen at getting things done) but never saw if it hit the water yet.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the interest.
That project came to a screeching halt.  The seat upholstery should be in the mail this week. Took the shop much longer than they said. 
Still waiting on the powerhead. Should be soon.  I'll try to get it rigged after the 4th.  The boat's been just sitting in the covered shelter since my last post.  Been playing with the Skater.  Stay tuned.:D

I understand Ron,    Thanks for keeping us posted!!
It is nice to have the backup boat!
I am putting together the allison and I have the backup so the fam is happy and I can take my time and do the allison the way I want.

Too bad you have to wait for other peoples work, that's always the hardest part of a project.  Looking forward to hearing your water test report.
