Lightning, a serious theat and concern to all boaters.I posed the question"what do u do if u are caught in a lightning storm?"I know,I know DONT GET CAUGHT! u know it is not that simple!Break downs, towing in a bubby,toooo many people at the ramp the list goes on and on.
Is there any truth to the old adage that lightning will seek out a running motor?
What happens when a boat is struck?How far does the elec. disburse when it hits the water?
Is fiberglass safer than alum.?
This discussion came up a few weeks ago before a floatilla event. We had a rainy forcast and these question arouse.I thought I would pick YOUR brains and get some opinions.
