I NEED HELP..INFO!!!!!!
I have a 1997 Pro Max 225. I put the 16 amp charging system with the alum flywheel, took the oil pump off, cut the heads down to 35cc, changed tuners to Bob's, drilled 10 (5/8") holes in the lower mid section like the 2.5 Hi Perf, dried the exhaust some, took the thermostats out and put the washers /restrictors in.
Currently I can turn this motor 7400 RPM.....

THE ISSUE AT HAND ! I have a 2.5 air horn, front half, fuel rail, fuel pump, ECU from the 2.5 260hp, everything needed to change my Pro Max..... Will I see any improvement?????? Has anyone done this???? What can I expect???

Thanks Jay Todd "Bullet"

You will surley feel a difference in the motor after the changes , be aware that if the RPMs come up over the 8000 rpm range you will be unsafe with the cast pistons as they will not last long and are prone to crack and the rings are sub par for the big RPM numbers . Also when you change front case halves you are attaching a non mated ( line bored and dowled pined ) motor halves as the factory mating halves are done, you will need to remove the dowels you have in your block and alow the two unmated case halfs to align on the bearing saddles and races , this will work as MANY people do the same thing but just a reminder to remove the dowles if not removed the dowles will force a mis alignment as this is not the original factory line bored mating halves and will cause problems.

Call me if you want to disscuss it farther I will be in and out today

I will run great with the 260 front 1/2 on that motor. Do what Jay says and don't over rev it; I don't take cast pistons over 7500 RPM, extra careful. When the motor is apart I would do the ports and replace the pistons, if you do that basically you will have what I use to race.
