Going to 16 amp setup on my pro max. Have a question :

With the single 16 amp regulator/stator, does anyone have a wiring diagram to share on this? There are a few extra yellow and red wires to contend with.
Most of them, are merely swapouts with the existing 40 amp stator wiring coonections to the switchbox. The other tow have me cornfuzzed....

Thanks guys. RB

When you go to the 16 amp there will only be two yellow wires to hook to a single regulator/rectifier. Your 40 amp was probably a 4 yellow wire stator hooked to two regulator/rectifier assemblies.
Stator wires will be the same...a blue, a blue/white, a red, and a red/white.
You have to change flywheels also, and be sure to use the correct stator for the particular flywheel you are using. There are both flexplate 16 amp flywheels and cast iron one-piece 16 amp flywheels...and they don't use the same stator.

I got one of JSRE's lightweight flywheels, and a new stator/regulator from RL a while back.

I was not sure of the additional wires tho....

Thanks, Russ
