Ky Drag Boat Assoc. begins the season this weekend on Ky Lake. Great opportunity to put your boat through a timed liquid quarter to know exactally your ET and MPH. First time racers in the River Racer 1 & 2 classes get a membership break for their first event. No weight restrictions or engine tech, only safety rules to meet. MEMBERSHIP IN THE KDBA

Yearly membership in the Kentucky Drag Boat Association shall be $75.00***, with the exception of the 12:00 and 13:00 second classes, which will have a new racer onetime membership of $25.00***. If this new racer comes back to another race he will pay the other $50.00 for full membership. This membership allows you to participate in all races held by Kentucky Drag Boat Association, all scheduled newsletters, and participation in our yearly banquet and membership meeting. Membership runs form January 1st through December 31st. There will be no single race membership.

***There is an increased insurance fee still in effect....see attached flyer.

Due to the increased cost of insurance the $25 fee we added last year will still be in effect. Don’t forget that we are having test and tune on Friday June the 11th.


DRIVERS MEETING:
SUNDAY MORNING 10:00am
MEETING IS MANDATORY

CLASSES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
PRO MOD (7 sec breakout)
P/E (8:00- 8:99)
T/E (9:00- 9:99)
M/E(10:00-10:99)
S/E (11:00-11:99)
RR1 (12:00-12:99)
RR2 (13:00-and slower)

TIME TRIALS: BEGIN SATURDAY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AROUND 10:00am
MEMBERSHIP: $100.00 PER YEAR
ENTRY FEE: ($145 7-11) ($125 12 &13)
REGISTRATION: ALL DAY SATURDAY

MOTELS: Race headquarters is the Best Western and we are asking that the racers please use this motel if possible. Please tell them you are a boat racer. Please support the Best Western because they support us. You should go ahead and make your reservations for all three races because rooms are limited. The number for the Best Western is (270) 928-2700. Other motels in the area are the Ramada Inn 1 (800) 628-6538, and the Fox Fire Inn (270) 395-7162.

HIGH POINT SERIES: The series this year will again include the three races at KY Lake, one race at Livermore KY.

I will be there running this weekend in the Allison. It doesn't look like the Mirage will make the trip this time. See ya there.

I'll be there Friday morning and I'll actually race a boat!! What a concept! Bringing both boats this time and may see what the slow boat does in the quarter as well. If not then we'll be tubing and skiing after the test and tune session. Tom.

Congrats to Jim Dunn on his win in the 9's with that Mercury powered Pugh hydro.

Rick sorry to see that mess. Hope it's not as bad as it looked.

Tom, make the changes. Gotta get it in the 9's and give Jim some competition.

Well, no test time sure showed and the performance was not what it should have been. What tha heck, put the bottle in to see what it would do. Real fat and stumbled on the start but came ta life through the traps. Might not have won anything this past weekend but that 148 mph pass sho did feel good:D

Here is the results for the June race at Ky Lake. Check out the speeds of last two boats to run in the first round of the 9 second Top Eliminator class:eek: :D Not bad for an outboard hydro with an OMC;)
