I should be up in July, I think that makes me a Rebel up North. I will bring up your parts if you still need them.;)

Looks good to me. Hey Dave, ya ever try boring a inline block on a vertical mill ? I have the tooling to boring to .0001 up to 6" deep or deeper without any problems. Just wondering if ya tried it and how it came out. Is that a Flynn head your boring with?

Crazy Horse, this is a new one for me. I used to cut with a hacksaw and mill with a file. I wanted a milling machine and it is great.:) I am learning as I go, by the seat of my pants. I took shop in Highschool but they didn't teach you much, in my case. I think you could bore your block ok, but maybe first try a junk one.;) I think the ports are a problem when the cutter hits them if you cut too much in one pass. I have a old guy thats been doing my boring but he's gonna retire soon so I would like to learn. He uses a Van-norman setup, which seems easyer. My Boring head is made byC.C. Craley of Pa. I pick up my tooling used where ever I can find it.;) I'm gonna switch the front crankcase on the Project so the front is 100% rite, the back is not so critical I hope.

Dave, I'm mostly self taught. I started out with my grandfathers south bend lathe 30 years ago and Now I don't think I could live without my mill or lathe. I buy alot of tooling on Ebay it's still pretty cheap but it's been climbing. This is what I bought myself for my 50th. birthday. anyone thats ever used a D'Andrea boring head knows how perfect they cut. The only one that I could afford was a demo from a machine show.

Thats some nice stuff that you got. I got cheep stuff because I'm CHEEP.:p HeeHee. Do you have a spacer on your mill as to get blocks on it and have room for the cutter? Thats what I was concerned about with the V6 blocks using a 30 degree block to hold them bores up. I think a l6 block is lots easyer just bolt to bed. Sounds like a good Idea, good nite.:o past my bedtime.
