I'm curious, I wonder why they approached APBA about forming a new class, instead of just participating in the SuperSport class as it now exists. I hope it's not dejavue in terms of factory politics in the classes ala '70's & '80's. What boat racing needs is classes with level playing fields that anybody's got a shot at on a given day.

Producing the little SST motors again is great news.

This is great news! For awhile now, my husband has been urging certain members of APBA to develope some sort of new 115hp class too, one that will bring back those days of parity between many different manufacturers --- in addition to the already popular Super Sport class. Glad to see APBA getting on top of things as our modes of racing is going thru so many changes due to changing environmental laws.

Like it or not, BMC and Mercury both know this green stuff is where the world is heading, in the racing world too, and if you can't beat 'em, join em. Changing from something we are so used to is always hard to adapt to --- it means we leave our comfortability zone, leave behind our beloved race specific motors, and enter a world of the unknown --- but in the end, change usually means we better ourselves and how we are perceived by the outside general public -- it usually comes out that we all benefit from it, and discover making the change wasn't all that bad afterall.

Now lets do something to get Yamaha enthused and totally involved in racing again too! Buying stock power straight from your local dealer ??! Yeah! YEEEHAWWWW!! I'm ready!
Go APBA!
