Where can i take the boat out at??? IN ILL???

Guys you know of any place close to Rockford Ill. i can take the boat out?? Lots of rain, river is no wake!:(

Morris, has a public launch and 6 miles up stream and 27 miles down stream 66 miles round trip. The river is high, but you can create all the wake you want.

Monday a few of us will be out there, but mostly drinking, only going to cruise for alittle bit. The memorial day boaters are the worst this is the first time they have been out, and need to get the cob webs out of the boat.

Dixon, has the Rock river, and as I know it is not closed or have no wake.

From Rockford, it is a straight shot down I39 and then about 15 miles west on I 88

Ottawa, also on the IL river, should be fine, just watch out for floating debris, and buryed objects.

Other than that, I am not sure.

some people are going just north of you to Lake Kosh/Ft. Atkinson. on saturday.

Specifically Gimmers "Sunset Tavern" the home of Firewater!

Also rumor has it that the Amigos and others are gonna be at Castle Rock(other side of the dells?) Lake.

I think Kosh would be your closest bet!!
What 1/2 hour drive for you?

I just looked at the River here in Ottawa, it looks pretty good. I watched for about 5 minutes and didn't see any floating debris.
