My wife wanted ta go horse back ride'in, so I took her....We don't got no horse, an my kneez wuz hurt'in too bad to git up to tha puter:eek:
I don't like 40#s...If 35#s don't hold it, U either got sumpth'in wrong, or too much compression....I used ta do tha 40# thang, but pulled threads more than I care to admit...170 to 200 iz a iffy spot, better be slick for a gasket to stay...under 170 @ 35#s, U won't have any problems....over 200, O-Ring it!!!....
az Dave said, start in tha middle, and work out, swapping endz...REX:cool:

REX, when u say 170 to 200 are u talking c ompression or H.P. , 150 heads should only give me about 135 -45 lbs. , right? thanks Dave & Rex for your replies, Gary

Yes you are rite about the 40 pounds. You tighten the last bolt and it strips.:( But thats what the book calls for. The new motors are real funn, 40 pounds and THEN 90 degrees... They either have soft bolts or the blocks are better.
