2.5 280 owner's manual

Does anyone have a copy of the manual that came with a 2000 2.5 280, a friend picked up a used one and never got any manual with it. Is is on-line somewhere?

Are you talking about a service manual?.

You will have to order one, I think they are about 60 bucks canadian. take your serial number and order it at any merc dealer.

When you get the 2.5 new don't they come with a little bit of papperwork, that goes over the basics? I know the service manuals you are talking about, and I agree that yes I should get one. This is for a friend of mine, I do not have a 2.5 right now or else I would buy the large service manual.

There is a small manual that comes with a new motor, plus little manuals with the individual components (trim pump etc.) I don't know if they are on line or not though. Is there something in particular that you need, I could probably take a pic and post it.

trying to get all the stuff that comes with the motor and pumps. If you can post it that would be great. Or let me know and I can give a you a fax number if that is easier.

RPM, I am at home right now for lunch and looked at my packet, and there is alot of stuff and each publication is put together (not faxable without copying first), to try to get copies of all of it would be quite a job. Do you think the pub numbers would help?
