Wow,

What a day. I have to say, this is my first "mostly non-working" outing since I moved here, and I had a great time. I got to hang out with many forum regulars, including (by screen name) RRRevinrude, Frostman, Corona Mike, Hot Shot Merc, Airboater, 1BadStream, Playin' Boats, and others. I hope I didn't forget anyone - I just finished detailing the boat and it's in the garage, all waxed (top and bottom) and covered. Not a word Balzy!!!:D

All of the boats that were there were incredble, but that's what was most important. What struck me was the comradery everyone had... The first words from everyone were "Hey, how are you? Do you need help with anything?" That was just incredible. This is what boating is all about - the friendships we make. I really felt welcome, although I wish I could have stayed longer.

Thank you Rob, Greg, and Mike for helping with my boat and the photos. Andy gets a big thank you for helping with the upcoming feature article and taking some awesome passes for my camera.

I really have to get out more - you guys sure make me proud to know I share this great sport with people like you. Thank you so much - it was a memorable day.

And yes, I actually used my boat too! :) It ran alright, considering it was not used in years. I think my injectors are dirty though, since my motor felt more like a 150. I kept my RPM below 5000 though. I just wanted to take it easy on the motor since it's been a while for it since it was run. Tony Brucato's injector cleaning and PCU will wake this motor up for sure. I'm all ready for the PCU - time to get the 32 cleaver ready. Helmut?

And now for some photos. I'll upload many more to the Gallery this week (we have an update to the Gallery coming this week, so should bulk-upload after the update).

pic: Frostman's awesome STV - love that paint, and this boat runs as good as it looks.

I paid about $1000 - it's cheaper now I'm sure. It's capable of some incredible pictures - the ones I posed here are just low-res compressed images. That's the camera I used at Eustis. You did good with the pictures - thank you! I actually have running pictures of my boat now!

Who owns the Riot?
Glad to see you got it out Greg. I'm sure it was wondering what the heck is going on.
You know you don't have to clean your injectors as much if you use them from time to time.:D :D

The Riot is owned buy a local guy here and has owned it for some time ,if I'm not mistaken it was the first or second one built and was featured in hotboat mag about 6 years ago. Greg had a great time ya just need to stay longer next time and maybe get your feet wet:eek: :D

Greg,

Thanks for the shot of my red and black STV. Your Stream looks good in the water. I hope you got a couple of shots of me running. We ought to do these get togethers more often. We need to go as group and show other parts of FL how the boats from SW Florida run.

You all must have heard I was comming and ran away! :D ---PS I was told you all ran away because of the DARK clouds -well It did not rain at the beach, although we did stop to eat about six miles from Alva and picked up 15 gals of water in 15 minutes:mad:

had a great time today, ran the boat, got sunburnt all to hell, its all good. if greg keeps hanging around us, we will get him to use his stuff at least once a month. well, maybe not... but it was nice seeing him out there. Gator was out there, it was good seeing him again, that yellow stream is schweet. gotta admire those johnny-rude boys...

Also, a riddle for you guys. whoever is the first to get the correct answer for this question gets a beer.

who said this?

The Skiff is awesome, i can take it out beach it, if it gets scratched, so what. - but if this thing gets a scratch, I'd have a heart attack.

Thanks guys - I really had a great day. I wish I could have stayed out longer. I still can't believe how light this boat is. Getting used to it shouldn't be a problem though.

Jim, I have no idea who said that...

The boat is all waxed, top to bottom and covered. Time to get the new PCU out...
