Just wanted to let you know the part showed up last week,Thank you. It should work nicely(trim or jack plate haven't decided yet). Thought you and others might want to know it was shipped across the border and wasn't charged any custom fees. I had Gary mark the box "warranty repair". Worked out great, the exchange hurts enough without having to pay customs ontop.

On another topic I am wandering what you are using to hoist your OMC's on and off your boats. Did you buy a lift ring from OMC or make one yourself. Is it similar to Merc's, If you have pics of one you can send me that would be great.

I built mine out of 2"x 5" box tube then use grade 8 studs to bolt it to flywheel slide the chain trough the box and thats it cheap easy and lifts my V8 with no problems

Glad your parts showed up alright.
I use a flywheel puller with a large eye bolt through the center of the puller to lift my motors.
Let me know if I can help further.
P.S. I tried your trick on the warranty repair for a jack plate I sent to Madmat in England too.
Be a while before we find out if it works. Cost $80. US to ship via mail (cheapest possible) with a 6 - 8 wk delivery!!!
