1990 Hydra-Sports X-270. 17'6" w/ 2.4 200+, exh hogged out, WH-22 carbs w/0.082 mains, 0.042 idle, Boyensen 5 petal reeds, all ports chamferd top & bottom, pistons w/ square window port, enlarged finger holes, extra holes 3/4" down from fingerport hole, exh bucket out, holes drilled in bottom of mid sect., round tuner, Bob's lwpu, 155psi comp x 6, restrictors in stat hsng. 6" setback, 6" jack, nose 1" below pad, dual steering, elect fuel pump @ 6.5psi, 5psi wp @ idle, 25psi @ wot. Turns a 27' Yamaha @ 6800 fully loaded 3 batteries, with 2 people and all gear. Little slow coming up, but you hit 2500r's hang on.

Way to go Superdave!

Glad to see another Hydra-Sports on the board. Sounds like you're really haulin' ass even with a full load. Good job.

My boat was a little slugish out of the hole until I added extra lift strakes to the bottom.

Mine's a 1987 model 19' 2" with a very modified 225 ProMax. With 2:1 gears it will turn a 24" Yamaha drag prop over 8500 rpm.
