but think how fast it would be with a little TT turbo.
Truly that was the baddest car at the Car Show this year!

One of my 'car-guy" Execs just bought one to add to his stable! Stroked a check for $140-large to be the first kid on his block... really cool... but SOOOOOOOOO much $$$$ for a Ford.

LOL! You mean everyone cant' just go out and write a check for a $100k+ car? :D As-they say - happy Executives are productive Executives... (BTW Bruce - not a company car... did you do your 04' MBO's yet?) ;)

If I had a 140K car, that would be it. I had a slot car set in the mid 60's with a GT40 and a Jag. I don't remember the scale but the cars were much bigger than the HO stuff, anyway, I always loved the GT40 if they were only about 100K less....

I tried to get one committed from the local Ford dealer. They said they're gettin' 2 for sure and maybe 3. He said the owner of the local franchise won't allow over list sales to retail customres, so the first one is going to a nephew and the other one or two are going on E Bay. I'll pay over list for ANY car when hell freezes over anyway, so I don't guess I've got a very good shot at gettin' one anytime soon.

Heres what I know on these: Hand built in a Ca. assembly facility dedicated to the GT platform (only), 2004 total production was 605. Dealer alloc. is limited to 2 units. - Pres. Award Dealers will get 1 extra allocation. One of our dealers in OH. sold both of their units for $300k. An Atlanta contact confirms $280-ish on theirs. 2005 production models will start landing @ in dealer inventory around Nov. Ford lets you pick 3 options: Stripes, Wheel-type, & sound system. I think one of the color-choices should be named "unobtainium" !! :)

Raceman, In Canada you are not allowed to sell over MSRP....... Want one, my next door neighbour is the president of Ford Canada, I am sure he will get you one.

Might work, but I'd worry about getting it accross (?) USDOT tends to get testy on grey-market stuff...

Cool car.
I took these pics last September at the USGP.
Looks and sounds great. They took a few laps around the track too, looked like a good runner.
