In tha Lakeracer class tha Vector will stand just az good a chance az the A-boat does...tha A-boat iz skinny and don't punch much of a hole in tha air, thus haz a good run on tha top end...the Vector iz wide and pushes more air on top, but the width makes it float higher and easier to jump on tha pad down low...thus giving the Vector the advantage on the take off...Your call...the 3.0 carb motor will run the same weight az the 2.5 carb motor, 1550#'s...that iz in SuperStock form!!! Modified form will weigh in at 1745#'s...Pro Gas form, will be 1950#'s.... There U have it, Lake racer ain't that bad after all iz it??? Tha Lake Rasers are running low 12's high 11's and around 100mph...tha 120's run 90mph or so(except Sid, who haz the record @ 99.7) Sid haz a hellashious top end...but the et's are low 11's to high12's...I have run sum 11:80's and got my but kicked...)Oh, and Gillman only had to weigh 2000#'s with hiz V-8 Pro Gas Johnnyrude...Hope ta see ya in one of tha classes next year...need sum more info or sum help, jus holler...REX:cool:

Yep, I think I might be on to something??
Everyone has been busy telling me what a loon I am for putting this much power on the boat buttttttttttt??
Cable/pulley steering, cut down mid, two more stringers, new core, all weight (battery, tank etc) on slides to help balance.
It will no doubt scare the **** out of me on the big end, but from a dig?? I think it just might work??
Spent a couple of hours last night studying the ODBA rule book looking at classes and I think its down to either Pro Carb or Lake Racer.
Think something I may have in common with you is that I like filing on my motors??
That is foremost, but I have to be able to work my way up to being competitive!!
Spent nine years getting my ass beat in the kneelers, never again!!
Thanx for your offer of help, I will take you up on that!
