Got a real discussion going on the Allison site. I have talked with several dealers and some guys that are running 225 PM engines with the ECU limiter removed and not having problems. I have a 2000 year model and several guys are telling me and have some pictures, that there is a very high chance that the piston ring locater will fail causing the pin and ring to go thru the port. What is the real scoop on this potential problem? I am not planning on running the engine at 7500 rpm for hours on end but do want to turn it up every once in a while and am going to drag it on one circuit next year.
