On a Laser intake system.

A 1" spacer behind the reed plate has shown to provide some performance gains right?

So what about a 1" or 1/2" spacer , individual ones, between the injector housing assembly and the front of the reed plate?

Or would the additional increase in volume in front of the reed block tend to cause any lean conditions?

This would be in addition to an SVS, which develops far more air flow into that funky assbackwards intake design on the Laser system.

Thanks, Russ

What kind of gains could you tell with that setup?

Thanks, Russ

The gains were on bottom end+ mid mainly. On top maybe 1-2 mph. Its quick out of the hole.

I know ya'll dun seen this befo, but if U add space'in in front ov tha original intake, U have to keep it the same size az the holes leev'in the injector box...If U make the openingz bigger than the butterfly openingz, it will kill tha **** outta tha velosity...I recorded a substancial bottom end gain, and a tremendous gain in midrange...Top end wuz so-so...no worse, no better...I also tried the 1" plate between the manifold and the reed cages, and I found that on my combo, it slowed the motor on responce time(up to 70 mph)...Top end gained 1 to 2 MPH....The spacers in front ov tha manifold wuz QUICKER!!!...REX:cool:

That's exactly what I'm doing...The same size with the inside milled to provide same ID of the intake openings. Using the gasket for a template.

Thanks, Russ
