Mod go cart engine experiences?

I have a little 5hp briggs go kart and was thinking about modifying it...Any suggestions...I can't afford Nos since I have to buy my first car soon :o

I was thinking about using an arctic cat water snowmobile water pump as a super charger via belt and running a different blade inside .... sanding the head down for more comp. , exhuast...

Would a super charger go before the carb?? I was going to use a 32mm mikuni carb and really open the intake with a micro grinder ... mebbe some good oil, lightened flywheel...

Just a stupid fun project to keep me busy on crappy ass weather until its nice for hydro testing..

On most of the turbo briggs i've seen the carb goes before the turbo. I figure it would be the same for a supercharger.

I'm thinking you might have a problem making that waterpump live. You will have to spin that thing fast to move enough air and I don't think the w/p bearings will live through it.

But I'm just specutaling.
