What is a merc twister 1 worth

He said its 90% rebuilt new pistons standard bore the carbs and wiring needed to be done speedmaster with no prop.What do you think its worth.Thanks

It's probably not worth anything KG. You should just box it and send it here without thinking about wasting your time on it. heh, heh. Seriously , it's kinda one of those "whatever somebody'll pay" type deals. I found a T2, complete, but with the wrong gearcase, within a few miles of Jasper this weekend and bought it for 800. Kinda blows the insanity of the 3500. asking price for the powerhead in the buy/sell forums last month huh?

Another comment or two about the Twisters. If the stickers are red, its a Twister, if Blue its a Twister1. In either case these motors are neat collectibles, but not very good for anything else. In optimum set up, there only marginally faster on top end than a 1500XS and they're absolute dogs down low. The other draw back is that those exhaust logs are dry.......water jacketed, but dry, so the engines are VERY loud.
