Inspired by Wildman's gearcases and Hopkin's bead blasted props.

Is that paint or bead blasted? It looks killer! What does something like that cost? Later, Dave

I polished the gearcase...atleast tried to and my brother taped and blasted the flames with a sand blaster. The polish actually isn't as bad as the pic looks:)

Yea, I was wondering what it would do to the water flow around the case.
it will make the water catch fire... Fire... FIRE!! YESSSS!!!
:D I think you need two boats one for mom and the child, and one for your MEAN side:D

What mean side? I have a couple of years before I get another. I have to finish my ski machine first..
The texture of the sand blasted part is a lot like how the sport masters come. I just hope it stays nice:p

Looks GOOD David, you may have started a new thang ( as Rex would say) With that new motor you should be over 100 mph this year.

`Fly in my experience, what you`ve done will inhibit the performance of your boat.My brother and I tried that on our ours and it failed!!!!!;) ;) ;) ;) It looks good tho`,how`s the Velocity lookin`??

It's my bro with the real talent. I couldn't be happier with how it looks.
As for da flo...well you see the piercing second of the gearcase is textures to break up the laminar flow and the tail section is polished to hold the water close to the gearcase at the trailing edge. Less drag at thew front and blowout prevention at the rear. Guarantedd to add 5 mph.
LGT Fst that little Ford Ranger you got doesn't have enopugh tow capacity to pull the Fly. I'll have to do it with my wife's mini van.

Don't you guys know, its a scientific fact.....adding flames to anything will increase performance. this is sure to add those extra 40 mph Dave needs to reach 100 mph:D
Looks Nice Dave

A GPS is going in whatever you bring this year. I have no desire to run 146:D

03-08-2004, 11:55 AM
Yea, but I remember the story behind that GPS reading. Dave have you ever been beaten by a Bow Rider. Mayby I should keep my mouth shut, how's the big bore project coming?

Just did the math and it always works,
(260hp*PieR/2)/320hp*5252+(fat head/pipe dreams)-gearcase mod*9300=just about 300MPH

Charlie you're talking about somebody that will be running a Mercury this year. We will line up and it will be taped because I think you get confused sometimes.

David the case looks SWEEET!!, don't think it's gonna help your cause, atleast you will have the best looking gearcase and the slowest boat, I guess I shouldn't say that I sure someone will bring a canoe.

Yes Drain Plug YES YES:D My plans was to bring a bow rider this year, but with a challange I can bring out the heavy iron, or I'll just clamp the ole Yammie on the lod black boat. How would you feel getting beat by a boat I have $400 (with the engine) in:D
I thought half the fun was talking ****..........I never thought of your event as having to have the fastest boat, but just have a good running boat and have some fun.
