The new 32 weights around 2800lbs. bare. I would think the old ones might be alittle more.

Thanks mike, Now they still build the old style 32' are they the same weight ? New and old style body, the new style body is like a stubby 36', with a taller freeboard and wider beam it's got to weigh a little more than the old style body which is like a streched 28'.

Sparkey, check out the site looks like the outboard version does not have as much freeboard as the IO.

Thanks Mike , That answered all my questions I don't know why I did not think about going to there site ! Thanks again !
When I weigh this last complete blank hull we built I will let you know what it weigh's. Buy resin, core, cloth, bulkheads, stringers, cabin and cockpit floors, The hull and deck we just assembled should be about 400 to 600 pounds lighter we will see this afternoon.

Spark I know that the race boat High Risk in an older hull 1988 or 89 any how last year they came up to light after a race. I think the min. weight is 5300lbs. And that boat is a triple. Maybe Kirt D could coment. I bet the bare weight is more like 2400-2500lbs. Are you still using the infusion process?

Yes we are, Only down side that I have found to the process is print in the surface. We have been testing different hardeners and adding different amounts of cobolt to different epoxy and vynilester blends to change the exotherm or Kick off temp to prevent the print . We have about a half dozen dash parts in the shop that we built testing new resin blends, We have a couple of guys comming down from Tiara yachts to watch us do some parts with the latest resin formula that we have been messing with!!
The last three parts have had no print issues to speak of, So hopefully we can get away from so much surfacing of the parts that come out of the molds. Anybody that is doing real full laminate vacuumbagging has print ask Pete at Skater or Randy at MTI.
Hey got to go! Spark

Spark Anybody that knows anything would realise that light print through is a indication of a hytech laminate. I surely has not hurt skater.
Good luck:D
