I have a '95 Johnson Venom 200 with 308 hrs. on it. Owned since new.Always run OMC oil and premium fuel from hi volume stations. Full throttle blasts don't last long on a 6 mile lake. The motor has been great, but how many hours should I expect to get out of it. My 86 225 went about 500-600 hrs. before a rod bearing failed. What should comp.be? what about a leakdown test? The motor runs as well as the day it went on the boat. It still makes lots of power, spins a 28 Raker @ 6000+ on a 825lb. flat bottom ski boat.:D
Bill, Sam,Instigator, Raceman what have your experiences with these motors been.
Thanks,

Hey Flat out

Are you just off 69 hwy? I have gone to a marina just off 69, there was a Delta parked there, is it yours? I think its a blue one, but it may have a Merc on it.

I like to goto all the marinas in the summer time to look for more stuff(my wifes going to kill me one day :D ). I stop by that marina at least once a season on my way to Parry Sound.

I took the Delta out for a spin thanksgiving weekend before putting it away. Can you say COLD!!!!! and if anyone wants to know sleet hurts at speed.
Hoping to get the other boat in the water a few more times yet.

And don't ya know OMC's last forever!!!!

That's not my boat. I'm on Crystal Lake N of Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls S of Kinmount. Mine's white with a red deck stripe and the back painted blue. It's an old EP boat EP111 is still on it. I run a '75 Evinrude 75 Hustler short shaft w/a 23 OMC DAH solid cleaver. It runs 60+ w/no trim.Lots of fun. It is true old OMCs never die!:D
