have any of you guys tried the bravo prop on your rig? i have been hearing some big numbers on the heavier bassboats. they went from the trophy to the bravo and gained at least 3-5mph.

I'm over there a lot myself, But have never heard this prop question before.

There are a few guys that have and still do run the Merc Tempest and Trophy wheels a lot. My self, I have a small hub Trophy fer fishin' loads, but run all over the hub wheels for anything else.

You may want to drop Rich Boger a line too at bogerprops.com.
He's a guru on Merc wheels and has tried most everything on Allisons.

I'll give one a go on mine, but don't confuse the Ally with a standard log bass boat. Most bass boats are lacking in lift, which isn't ever the issue with the Allison.

Nothing like a 900 lb diet to get some speed.

i know there are a some bullet guys that have been running higher pitch (28-32) modified bravos on their boats to keep the 250XS motor out of the rev limiter. In order for the bravo to work well on an outboard boat, it should have vent holes cut in it, and ideally (for the best performance) be labfinished. However, all that = very expensive prop.

I think you are better off staying "traditional" with the ETs and chopper on the 2002 allison.

IT IS A RUCK PORTED 260 WITH SINGLE RING DRAG PISTONS AND 3 WAY ROD SLOTS. IT HAS LOW COMPRESSION HEADS 130'S AND PUMP GAS FULL LOAD AND 2 200LB PEOPLE IT WILL TURN ABOUT 7300 TO 7500 RPMS. NEVER TRIED TO STRECH IT OUT BUT I WOULD GUESS A LITTLE OVER 100. MY OTHER 92 XB2002 WITH MY DRAG MOTOR ON GPS WAS 113.8 AND STILL PULLING WITH A 29 SPINELLI DR 3 @ 8500RPMS. THANKS ERIC.
