Temp Gauge? Stock? Aftermarket?

Does Mercury or an aftermarket supplier manufacture a variable temp. sending unit I can wire to a readable gauge that can be installed in the starboard head in the hole where the hothorn sending unit is usually? Are variable sending units available and reasonably accurate or do I have to install a Momo horn to tell me when my motor's fried? Thanks B.MAC

i bought a kit that reads actual water temp, not the metal temp, its a quicksilver kit part# 79-816932-A1 it has the guage with matching temp sender, drill a hole and tap the threads on the top of the starboard head into the water jacket, i will try to scan the actual head and show ya in a photo
