Sport master?

Is there a difference in sportmaster cases between right & left handed rotation ! I need just the housings without the guts but not sure if the cases are different in nay way? We are talking about the 2.5 cases not the 3.0 Thanks SnF

I believe the left handed case has a straight skeg and the right has the right sweep torque tab and that is the only difference on the case.

You can get a straight skeg with either left or right. On twin applications, you use straights. Jay

Will all the gears, bearings, shafts, carrier etc from a stock 94 model merc lower unit fit the sportmaster housing? I know you have to make provisions for the oil drain,but is that all?

do your self a favor and get one piece prop shaft and offshore carrier and nut. Also the drive shaft might need a spacer installed because the sport master has 2 bearings from the factory.
